Proyect
More than 30 tourist guides are in El Ñuro, who from the entrance welcome tourists and invite them to the interpretation room, where through graphics and pictorial representations they briefly tell the story of the repopulation of the turtles in El Ñuro .
One of them, Cristhian Abad Panta (14 years old), assures that there is a trainer that is in charge of training these species to make them less wild before the contact with the human being, and provides the guarantee to the visitors who will not be hurt.
In addition, it invites you to opt for other tourist alternatives that also take place on the beach, such as the boat ride, the sighting of humpback whales, but only between July and September.
Conservation project
The Interpretation Room is an implemented part of the "Caleta de Pescadores Communal Conservation Project", promoted by the Chinese oil company CNPC Peru. This environment was inaugurated last November, in order to provide information to tourists about the cove and its attractions.
For this, 30 natural tour guides of El Ñuro were trained, mostly young people and teenagers. They were instructed in different courses in marine biology and English.
In addition, the oil company has planned to inaugurate in the next few months a sales room where the residents can offer their handmade products and generate more income for their family basket.
